Papa Jack and Grandma Non's Anniversary Party

This Friday night we got together to celebrate Papa Jack and Grandma Non's anniversary with a surprise party. They were very surprised and it was great to see the looks on their faces. This was also the first time that some of Candace's family had the opportunity to see Chloe. We had a wonderful time seeing everyone. Congratulations to Pops and Non. We love you very much.

One Week Old!

Today Chloe is one week old. She is now 6 lbs and 4 oz and changing everyday. She is such a joy to have around, Candace and I love her so much and wonder how we lived without her. I was telling someone the other day the best thing in the world is to wake up in the morning and to see your little girl beside you. This is a feeling that does not come from a paycheck, a new car or a fabulous vacation. This feeling only comes through the blessing of a child. We are truly blessed of God and we thank him for his many blessings on our little family. I always want to be thankful for what I have. God has been so good to us. We are determined to take one day, one week, one month, and one year at time.

Chloe's First Bath

Here are a few pictures of Chloe's first bath at the hospital. It was not a wonderful experience, being that she cried through most of it, but she did have a wonderful nurse who was very calm and gentle. Everyone who came into our room at the hospital could not believe that she had so much auburn red hair. It was funny to watch them look at her and then at us with a puzzling look in their eyes. I have dark brown hair and Candace is blonde.

Dad's Birthday

Saturday, June 14th was my father's birthday. I would like to take this opportunity to let him know how much I love and appreciate his love and dedication to his family and God. I could not ask for a better example of a father and grandfather. We love you dad and Happy Birthday. Saturday we celebrated with a homemade birthday cake with family and friends.

First Father's Day

Today was our first father's day with our special little angel. We had a special father's day service at our church today, so we stopped by for a little while. During the service poems were read and songs were sung in honor of our fathers. Each father in attendance also receives a little gift of appreciation. I wrote a special song for Chloe and sang it to her during the service. The song is entitled "My Little Girl". I am going to try and download the video to you tube so that I can share it with the you guys. Candace and Chloe are doing great. We are all trying to get situated into a regular routine. The last few nights have been very long.

Here She Is...Chloe Addison Tredway

On Thursday at 3:03 in the afternoon, God blessed us with a sweet little angel, Chloe Addison. Chloe was 6 lbs 3 oz and 20 1/2 inches long. Her eyes are blue and her hair is an auburn color. We thank God that mom and baby are doing great! We all came home from the hospital today and are ready to start our journey through life. Thank you to all who have been praying for us.

Going To The Hospital

Please remember Candace and I tomorrow as we go to the hospital and they induce her labor. We will be at Kaweah Delta Hospital in Visalia, Thursday morning at 7 am to start the procedure. We know that many of you are praying for us and our little one and we thank you for your prayers. We will post pictures and more updates as we can. Candace's original due date was Monday June 2nd so we are past ready for Chloe's arrival. This long wait is coming to an end finally, and a new journey will soon begin.

Boating Adventure

This past Saturday a group of us went to the park and Papa (Dad) took the grand kids on a paddle boat ride. The kids thought it was great and loved it, looking at all the ducks while papa did all the rowing. While they were on the boat, Candace, Sis, Mom and I walked around the pond taking pictures of the little sailors! I can remember when my Grandpa and Grandma Tredway took my sister and I out on boats at this very park. What great memories we make with one another when we take out time to share life's little enjoyments. This will be a memory that lasts forever! Thanks dad for being a great papa to the grand kids. You have another little one on the way any day now!

Still Waiting!

Today is Chloe's due date but as of now we are still waiting. Everyone keeps telling us "When the time has fully come" she will come. Candace and I are trying to patiently wait for her arrival but we are getting very anxious. I went to work today and I think I text Candace every hour to check and see if everything was alright. Everyone is on edge waiting. In fact when we call people and they see our number they automatically ask "Are you on your way to the hospital?" or "Is she coming?" It has been rather hilarious around here. Keep praying for Candace and as soon as anything happens we will let you know.
